Our latest venture here at the Farm are the Cottages we have recently finished. Our goal has been to open a Bed and Breakfast where guests can combine the tranquility and peace of waking up on a Farm with the easy access to The Village of Pinehurst, and the historic Towns of Southern Pines and Aberdeen. With the Coronavirus lockdown coming to an end, we spent the rainy weekend entertaining friends for the first time in months. This will probably be the last time we will have a free weekend for the rest of the summer. The blueberries are just about ripe and we’ll be at the Sandhills Farmer’s Market soon. My […]

We found the recipe on Leigh Anne Wilkes blog https://www.yourhomebasedmom.com/ It is pretty simple and super refreshing on these hot summer days! Our good friends […]

We had tremendous response to our Blueberry Salsa samples today at the Sandhills Farmer’s Market in Pinehurst. The combination of sweet blueberries, savory red onion and a little kick from the peppers really makes for a refreshing salsa. This is perfect for snacking with chips or as a tasty accompaniment to fish or chicken. Our […]

Wednesday was Bee Day at the Farm. The State Bee Inspector spent several hours doing an inspection of our hives. We found and marked two queens, showed a newbie how to find eggs, did a sugar roll test for mites and checked out some honey that is ready for extracting!

This spring we were fortunate to be in the inaugural group of Moore County NC farms to kick off the Visit NC Farms app. Through the dedicated hard work of the County Extension office, the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, local farms, farmer’s markets and farm to table restauranteurs, the app went […]
